Donate a car to Cars for Homes™ and help build houses

Your vehicle donation can help a family build a home, and the hope of a better life! Car, truck, boat and RV donations help Habitat for Humanity build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable shelter. Volunteer On Site

• Habitat needs volunteers every Wednesday through Saturday in Coatesville and West Chester, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, for all stages of the home construction process.

• To volunteer on site please call 610-384-7993, ext. 17 or email Eliza@hfhcc.org.  Bring a lunch and work gloves.

• Fill out the Volunteer Form and Release Form and bring both with you to the job site.

• We ask that groups of four or more call the affiliate office to schedule a workday at least three weeks in advance of the desired volunteer date.

Volunteer On Committee

• Family Selection Committee: Determines eligibility of applicant families based on three criteria . . . need for adequate shelter, ability to pay, and willingness to partner. Conducts orientation sessions and home visits and reviews all applicants for home ownership.

• Family Partnering Committee: Provides support, information and encouragement to approved applicants during the construction and settlement process.

• Church Relations Committee: Serves as liaison between church congregations and HfHCC; organizes church volunteer groups.

• Finance Committee: Oversees the affiliate's financial operations.

• Building Committee: Oversees construction process and site logistics; solicits gifts in kind of materials and services.

• Site Selection Committee: Researches prospective land and lot acquisitions.

• Resource Development Committee: Helps plan affiliate's fund-raising activities; solicits support from individuals, churches, foundations, and businesses.

• Volunteer Relations Committee: Assists in the affiliate's volunteer recruiting and information activities, including follow-up contacts, site staffing, group work camps, and speakers bureau.
