Thank you for your interest in Habitat for Humanity of Chester County.

 

We are currently building on Poplar Street in the borough of West Chester.  Income requirements are total household income minimum $22,000 and maximum $55,000.  Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A compelling need for better housing conditions

  • A steady income and ability to pay a monthly mortgage
  • A willingness to invest their time (sweat equity) in the building of their own homes, as well as other Habitat houses

Habitat homeowners are carefully selected through an extensive screening process involving recommendations from employers, landlords and creditors, interviews by a family selection committee, a formal credit check, financial counseling, and a demonstrated ability to maintain financial stability.
