Build Homes, Build Community: Exciting Habitat ChesCo Events Ahead

At Habitat for Humanity of Chester County, every event we host is more than just a gathering; it’s an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of hardworking families in our community. Revenue from our events directly supports purchasing materials needed to build, renovate, and repair homes, helping families gain strength, stability, and self-reliance. Whether you attend, volunteer, sponsor, or simply share our events with others, your involvement is a powerful way to advocate for housing that is affordable and for stronger neighborhoods.

Here’s a look at our upcoming events and how you can get involved:

Carter Work Project Rural Rally

Thursday, October 30th

Two volunteers in blue shirts and hard hats use a power tool together.

Habitat ChesCo will participate in Habitat for Humanity International's first-ever Rural Rally this fall. This rally is a new component of the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project and highlights the need for housing that is affordable in rural America.

The Carter Work Project is Habitat's flagship build, honoring the profound impact of President and Mrs. Carter on Habitat's mission worldwide. This year, thousands of volunteers will gather in Austin, Texas, during the last week of October to build 25 homes on the city's east side. The Rural Rally will support home builds and rehabs in more than 60 rural communities across at least 20 states and all regions of the U.S.

We're excited to highlight the Fuller Meadows community in West Grove, PA. Homeowners interested in sharing how their home and community have impacted their families can contact Christy Kane at christy@hfhcc.org.

We also have limited volunteer opportunities to help hang drywall in phase 6, and we'd love to provide chalk for families who want to decorate sidewalks outside their homes. Please contact Christy to participate or volunteer.

Other Ways to Get Involved

Supporting Habitat ChesCo goes beyond attending events; there are many ways to make a meaningful impact in your community:

  • Make a one-time donation or join our Square Foot Club, a flexible monthly giving program that helps us plan, purchase materials, and build homes. Your gift, of any amount, can be adjusted or cancelled at any time.

  • Volunteer to support our ReStores, builds, events, or community outreach efforts.

  • Browse our Caln or Phoenixville ReStores for great finds, or donate items you no longer need. Every purchase or donation helps keep usable items out of landfills and fuels our mission.

  • Share our story with your network to highlight the importance of stable housing and inspire others to join the cause.

  • Support policies and programs that create more housing opportunities and strengthen communities for everyone.

Every action, big or small, helps families gain stability, confidence, and the foundation they need to thrive.
