The three Chester County Commissioners were joined by other local officials, donors and volunteers to signal the start of HfHCC’s 45-home development at Cambria Terrace, Coatesville on Friday, September 10.
HfHCC received $900,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program to purchase the Cambria Terrace property and $200,000 from the Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD) to begin construction. Volunteers will build the first six houses over the next nine months on the site.

We have submitted an application to the DCD for a $600,000 grant to cover the cost of the infrastructure and public improvements. We will seek out individual house sponsors and co-sponsors as the housing development progresses.
